The cultivation system is "tendone" which is similar to a pergola but lower in height and wider. The measure of the plantation is 2,5 meters in square with a total number of plants of about 1700 per hectare. Hectares cultivated with grapes are about 8 divided as follows:

  • 1,70 hectare with Sangiovese variety, a production of about 200 - 250 hundred kilograms of grapes with 1 babo sugary grade equal to 17°-18°;
  • 0,70 hectares with Trebbiano variety, a production of about 100 - 150 hundred kilograms of grapes with 1 babo sugary grade equal to 15°-16°;
  • 1,30 hectares with White Malvasia variety, a production of about 130 - 180 hundred kilograms of grapes with 1 babo sugary grade equal to 16°-17°
  • 1,50 hectares with Negroamaro variety, a production of about 150 - 200 hundred kilograms of grapes with 1 babo sugary grade equal to 17°
  • 2,50 hectares with Primitivo variety, a production of about 250 - 300 hundred kilograms of grapes with 1 babo sugary grade equal to 19°-20°

 

Of course, as said, these vineyards have been cultivated biologically already since 1995. The grape harvest will be most likely from 15th to 25th September, on the base of the previous years, compatibly with the weather and the ripening of the grapes. The whole production can be certified by the controlling body "Bioagricoop.
